Within The Reserve areas — pool, beach section, lounge — the experience is genuinely
adults-only and private. In the main resort — shared pools, lobby, restaurants, and beach
outside The Reserve section — families and children may be present. For couples who want
complete 18+ throughout the entire property, Secrets or Paradisus La Perla is the correct
choice. For couples who want a private AO retreat for themselves and their closest adults
while families stay in the same resort and attend all wedding events, The Reserve is the
ideal setup. Most couples who have done The Reserve describe the private sanctuary as
genuinely secluded even though the broader resort accommodates all ages.
Does Sandals work for destination weddings with guests?
Sandals is couples-only — every guest must be traveling as part of a romantic couple.
Single guests, guests attending without a partner, and friend groups cannot stay at Sandals
properties. For a destination wedding where all guests happen to be in couples and traveling
together, Sandals works well — they have strong wedding packages and iconic over-water
