Christopher Columbus sailed into the picturesque bay in 1494, and since then it has earned the title for tourist capital of Jamaica due to its ideal location on the island. The hottest month in Montego Bay is July with the average temperature of 83 °F and the coldest is January with a very comfortable 76 °F. If your looking for higher temperatures and less chance of rain June and July see less rain then in the fall with October being the wettest. December and January are very dry on average as well and the temperatures still warm.
